The Democracy Lighthouse Digest is a monthly newsletter that provides updates on our group’s work and information about the important worldwide contributions of the many organisations, activists and scholars currently engaged in the defence and reimagining of the past, present, and future of democracy.
In this inaugural edition of the digest we interview one of our partner organisations, Ciudadania Inteligente, on the work that they do in fighting for the transformation of democracies in Latin America. The digest also includes the latest publications from our research team, a review of Wolfgang Merkel’s book ‘In the Twilight: the Fragility and Resilience of Democracy in the 21 Century, as well as a short piece from Aries Arugay on the impact of the Trump administration on the Philippines.
